Hello,
So here we are. We have done the best album to date, only some very final touches on mixing to do and it is done. 9 tracks of beauty, heaviness and darkness. It took two months to complete and we had some hard times and some fun times. Our friend, Roope Latvala from Children Of Bodom, did a couple of leads as a guest musician. Cheers for that!! Overall, it is a one helluva album. Single shall be available in early January. We might do a CD single, but at least a websingle with covers shall be available then. Also video for The Call Of Dancing Waters has been done. Cutting is on its way and it should be finished early 2010.
So be patient, good stuff coming on your way soon. We also did a one off gig in London on 8.11. . Although there were huge technical problems, the gig went okay. Cheers for those who were patient and banged ( drunk ) with us..

We can now officially announce the track listing for the new Femme
Metal compilation double CD due for release 6th July 2009!! The
compilation CD entitled 'Demonic and Divine' is in aid of Macmillan
Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK, which is being distributed in
the UK by Code 7 via Plastic Head and all over the rest of Europe with
DR. Music Distribution.

Wow,
It has been quite a long time since last update on the pages. But here we are, we are not dead. No, never! Soulgrind shall remain, slow, but it shall not vanish away. We all have been busy with other projects. I have had a blast doing thrash metal with FIERCE and EVINCE. We have also made a new CD with Gloomy Grim. Wilska has done some Death Metal and Azhemin has started a new BM band. But still, doing other things doesn´t mean that SG has died. Actually we have some new songs under way and we shall probably demo those early 2009. We are looking for a new record deal, so let´s see what happens. Mean while, be patient. Soulgrind shall come back...soon

Hello again,
Summer is gone and alot of things has happened. I got married, which is probably the main thing. The party was excellent and all 120 guests were pretty happy. At the least the couople was. 1000 cans of beer, 42 bottles of wine 11 litres of vodka and some extras were drunk. A lot of drunken metalheads were seen on the area at the night :) Our singer Lilith created an awesome menu for the people, a lot of meat and old style food. Cheers for her!! And for all of the people who showed up for the party.
But also Soulgrind is getting ready for the next attack. The contract with French Holy records is over and we are looking for a new label. Interested parties should contact me here We are fixing some new tunes and 2 songs are ready. 3 others are on their way. Musically songs follow the same pathy as latest album Pakana was. Of course there are some new winds, but the base is there. We are planning to demo some songs in early 2008.
Pakana has been recieved well and the feedback/ reviews have been great. I shall put reviews on the review page soon. Meanwhile, do some googling :) And there shall be a video for one of the songs from Pakana as soon as we get it together. As there is no financial support from the label to do the video, we shall do it by ourselves. Low budget but pro,that is the name of the game.
At the moment we have a couple gigs on the way, more is to come. Hopefully we get the tour together for next March. You shall be informed. See you at the gigs and enjoy your only life!

Hello again and happy new year. Now the new CD is finally coming!! The released date in around 15th of February 2007!!! Front cover is now finally finished and we are totally happy with this winter design. Sad moody and yet full of hope. Shows our music in one pictures. And we are finally releasing the CD as DIGIPACK!! Wow!!
We are also putting up together gigs to promote the forthcoming album. Gig organizers, festivals etc. don´t hesitate to contact us! Promopackage shall be addxed shortly on thsese pages. It shalll include high res pix and some samples alongside the whole story of the band.

Soulgrind has found a new bass player. A new bassplayer is Tapio Wilska, formerly in Finntroll. Welcome dude. We had our wild welcome party last Saturday and everybody is still in the state of shaking shock. Wet, wild and loud it was. Kyllä bändiin lihaa mahtuu!

Some might have heard, that we parted ways with JP. He is no longer a member in SG family. Good luck to him with whatever he does. We are on final steps on having a new bass player.
About the album. 2006 CD Pakana is now on hands of Holy Records. Mastering shall happen in France late September and the final result should be out in Oct 2006. Meanwhile, have a taste of a new song from our MySpace blog:

"We have finished recordings and we have finished mixing the album. The Master has been sent to France for mastering. Roope Latvala ( Sinergy, Children Of Bodom ) came and laid down the leads,then we did some finishing touches for balance and voila, new bastard son has been born:) After eight weeks in the studio.
Soulgrind thanx D - studio and especially Jarno H. for patience and for doing such marvellous job on recording. He is the most up coming studio technician at the moment here in Finland, for sure. We had 15 songs from the beginning. Three were dropped before recordings and two more ( The Prophecy & The Laughing One ) after they were recorded for not fitting the concept. They might be released somewhere sometime, who knows. The Laughing One is an ultimate Thrash metal attack in the vein of Nuclear Assault , Sodom and it has some touches of Morbid Angel in it as well... interesting and GOOD song, but it just didn´t fit. It cut the mood, so it was better off. Prophecy could have fit, but as it would have made the album too long, it was dropped as well. Now the running time is about 46 minutes and it makes you hungry for more. Now everything is balanced.
Mixing is set next week and then it is all in hands of Holy Records. January is not that far away... be patient.

The studio is going fine, actually great. Soulgrind is almost done with recordings and the mixing has already begin. The release for the album is set late January 2005. The title of the album shall be "The Origins Of The Paganblood". Also DVD has been dropped due the lack of time and money. All of the studio budget has been spent to the forthcoming album to make it great. We noticed that less is better. With a double budget we would have done the DVD + live album. BUT the live material shall be released someday through the internet.
Other IMPORTANT news!
Soulgrind has also negotiated with ICARUS Records about the rights for the 1997 WHITSONGS album. We are near the conclusion. Soulgrind shall get the rights for the album and we are planning to release it by ourselves or we shall re-release it through a cool label. Album has done well in South - America, but due lack of advertising etc. rest is mystery. Interested parties should contact us via:

The boyz shall be talking about new Twilight Ophera album,

The
studio has been confirmed. It is the mighty D - studio (
Hevein, Divercia ) and the whole session begins at the 25th
of Sept and goes on as long as needed. Final mixing is in
late November 2004.
Tuska
Live tapes have been dropped due the poor soundquality.
We are still looking for the possibility to mix the Live
´95 featuring Roope Latvala of Children Of Bodom.
It all depends on the tight schedule of Roope. He shall
do the producing for the live material. Roope shall also

Summer
is hot and the pagan ladies dance naked :). The band is
having a break and enjoying theselves. Some are drinking
their brains out, some are riding motorbikes, some are doing
nothing. But most of all, everybodys relaxing. The practising
for the next album begins in mid august after partying at
Wackken Open Air ( see ya there!!). New songs are still
coming. We are planning to record 15 songs and 12 of those
shall be on the album. For the rest, maybe they shall be
out sometime and somehow. Who knows.
There

Grim has entered the studio to record a follow up for

is titled The Grand Hammering and there shall be a bonus

of years ago, back in 1993 we did a song for an Elvis compilation
(yeah, you read it right ). "Grinded Elvis" was
ment to be a compilation with BM / Death / Grind bands doing
their "versions" of old Elvis "hits".
I
recall the dude was George *Joint" ( ANYONE , HAHA)
Somebody...can´t remember, who supposed to release
the compilation. We did our thing and sent a very blasphemious
version of Elvis´s "Devil In Disguise" Song.
As
you might have guessed, the comp. never came out. therefore
I would need some help to track down the dude and gain the
DAT back. I would like to put the song online and / or put
it out on the bonus CD on the forthcoming release.
